About the Event

Join ornithologist Michael on another of our popular guided bird walks in the Land of Oak & Iron.

Situated in the Lower Derwent Valley this section of the Land of Oak and Iron is a mixed landscape of woodland, meadows, riverside and historic monuments, along with an abundance of wildlife.

On this guided bird walk local ornithologist Michael Turner will help identify the rich birdlife by sight and sound as we wander through this beautiful landscape.

Spring is a great time to enjoy the delights of birdwatching.  Migrant birds have already arrived, joining resident birds, nesting is in full swing with the adult birds keeping busy supplying food for their young.

Suitable for all ages - the walk will be on regular pathways with some slight gradients.

Please bring binoculars if you have them and dress appropriately with stout footwear, waterproofs may be necessary depending on the weather.
